Thanadol Wangwijit
Innovator/ Initiator/ Technologist
I am currently a senior at Shrewsbury International School, Bangkok, Thailand. As an aspiring undergraduate Engineering student, I am passionate about aspects of engineering that involve technical problem-solving for our world and optimization of complex processes.
My projects are focused on creating technologies to address social issues and innovating systems that use technology to reduce conflicts between the environment, wildlife, and human beings.

My Projects

Wild Elephants

Inventor | Developer | Coordinator
As an aspiring engineer, I am passionate about inventing
technologies to enhance the effectiveness, affordability,
and sustainability of current systems. I envision extending
the lifetime of Wildlife GPS Trackers, implementing piggy
backing technology to develop solutions that mitigate the impact of wildfires and making wildlife signaling more accessible to local communities to reduce damages and injuries caused by wildlife encounters.

Power Generator
I invented the Power Generator Module for Wildlife GPS Tracker that extends the lifespan of the $9,000 South African wildlife tracker from 1-2 years to a minimum of 10 years, while costing 15 times lower. The module generates power from 3 clean energy sources: solar energy (flexible solar panels), kinetic energy (electromagnetic induction), and pressure sensor (piezo sensors). The module is encased in transparent resin to endure extreme forces and humidity while allowing the transmission of sunlight.

Wildlife Warning System
I developed a user-friendly and cost-effective solution to prevent wildlife attacks on forest-edge communities, aiming to reduce injuries and damages. The pocket-sized module alerts end users with different frequency alarms and color bars based on the distance from the wildlife, capable of sensing animals up to 1 km away.
I collaborated with Members of Parliament for testing on 25 animals in Rayong.

Wildfire Detector
I developed a wildfire predictor and signaling module.
The device analyzes the likelihood of a wildfire using
4 sensors—temperature, PM, CO2, and humidity.
Subsequently, the module sends SMS alerts to both officials and local residents, informing them of the potential
wildfire risk.
Designed to be portable, the module is intended for installation on wildlife, serving as a mobile wildfire monitoring solution

Collaboration with The Parliament House
And Ministry of Digital Economy and Society

Shrewsbury and I got an email invitation from the Thai Parliament House to present my inventions and solutions for elephants and wildlife incursions at a Parliamentary meeting.

Collaboration with The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation
I have been working with The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation and The Royal Forest Department on field testing my inventions.

Collaboration Work with Wangchan Valley Project
By PTT Public Company Limited
PTT Public Company Limited (Thailand's largest oil, gas, and petrochemical company) sent an invitation for a collaboration work on solving Thailand’s issue of wildlife attacks as part of their Wangchan Valley Project with Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC) Rayong.

Find-Zheimer

Founder l Developer
Founded in 2020, Find-Zheimer aims to innovate technology for the retrieval of missing elders, individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's, and youths to combat child sex trafficking.
The solution involves ironed-on QR labels, which works with a developed website serving as a database for staff and a platform for reporting found cases. Since its debut, over 15,000 people from Five countries have signed up, and a successful return of over 650 individuals to their homes.

Inventor | Team Leader
An award-winning support structure designed to
boost the survival rate of newly planted seagrass
from 10% to 90%, addresses critical issues such
as climate change, the rapid decline in dugong
numbers, and contributes to the goal of achieving
carbon neutrality in firms and Thailand by 2050.
This innovative structure, made from crushed seashells, clay, and coffee grounds, is 100% decomposable.

Caring Sharing

Co-inventor | Co-founder
I co-developed wrist, ankle, and leg wrap systems thatattach to pulleys to help elders perform physical therapy independently. Caring Sharing donated 500 hoists to local communities and healthcare organizations.

Wecycle

Co-founder l Co-organizer
WeCycle aims to turn electronic waste into opportunities for underprivileged youths. By collecting
e-waste from schools, organizations, community malls,
and businesses, we can collectively prevent
harmful materials from reaching landfills, contributing
to a cleaner environment while simultaneously
supporting communities!

WeCycle accumulated 120 kg.
of electronics waste and sold for over $320 to purchase supplies
for local schools.

School Clubs

Go-Baby-Go SHB
Founder | President
I founded Go-Baby-Go SHB to promote STEM learning and enhance youth mobility through the modification of ride-on cars.
We successfully engineered 5 ride-on cars for 6 foundations and expanded the club to include 110 members from 6 schools.
I had the opportunity to present the club at the UN Foundation Youth Event to increase awareness.

Aerospace Club
Co-Founder
The Aerospace Club took the initiative to educate younger students on building satellites and weather balloons. Leading the Shrewsbury team, I participated in Thailand's CANSAT Competition 2022. Our proposed mission aimed to detect illegal logging and drug transportation in large areas.

Extracurriculars

Co-founded a campaign to promote mental health awareness and hygiene during COVID-19 outbreak.
